Koppa : Design for Craft

The craft is more than 100 years old and mostly a family business. The mother and the wife make the lacquer sticks, the man works as a single craftsman or employs people under him.
A positive change in this culture is craftsmen hiring and training women to work on the lathe. 
Recently, I read an article about carefully crafted pieces going to waste because the correct design was not given to the craftsmen. This resulted in the waste of raw materials and the precious time of the craftsmen. A detailed catalogue was designed for every product with colour variations, dimensions and shapes.
The catalogue which is given to the craftsmen in order to produce accurate yet handcrafted products.
