Taketora is one of the oldest bamboo charcoal makers in Kyoto Japan, having been in business for over two hundred years. SUMI soap
contains the finest all-natural ingredients, with an emphasis on ingredients that are plant-based, organic, and food-grade.
Each ingredient is included for a therapeutic reason. The incredible surface
area and absorption power of the charcoal give it the ability to purify all that it comes into contact with: air, water, & skin.
The package design is based on a natural stone with the charcoal soap inside. The design, although simple,
is modern & unique. The materials consist of recycled paper pulp which can be environmentally sourced
to help reduce waste to landfill.
