Daily Drop Cap
A brief developing on the work of Jessica Hische with her own Daily Drop Cap project. Letters have been designed in response to 26 different news articles from a single day, each beginning with a different character.
The typographical features, including weight, serifs and line shape, are all responses to the tone and subjects of the news articles. Spending no more than two hours from concept to resolution, each drop cap is completely individual and unique, while combined they represent the news of October 3rd 2011.
