Ricardo Carvalho is a Creative Director focused in branding and visual identity on Sports and Entertainment with more than 8 years of experience. His works on sports brands area has achieved numerous mentions from most major design and sports websites, including BrandNew and FoxSports. He holds a design bachelor's degree from Mackenzie University and an MBA in Branding from Faculdades Rio Branco in São Paulo, and for more than 2 years his expertise in branding has helped Gad’, a lead brand consultancy based in Brazil, to create strategic projects for Latin America clients. His experience includes: Communications, Marketing and advanced knowledge in Design, Branding, Typography and Architecture, and also three years working with Corporate Communications and Branding in Evonik Industries and Borussia Dortmund for Brazil and South America. He was the idealizer of the first proposal for brand and product for Copa Libertadores da América and also for Sport Club Internacional, which were under the spotlight of websites, such as Globo Esporte, Fox Sports, Esporte Interativo, MKTEsportivo, BrandNew, LogoBR, DesignCulture, among others. As lecturer, shared his ideas during the I Symposium of the Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, a traditional football club from São Paulo, presenting the proposal to strenghten of the club’s brand and also about the brand of Libertadores and Sport Brands at FEA-USP. Clients include Evonik and Borussia Dortmund, Nike, NBA, Porto Alegre Pumpkins, Çanakkale Dardanelspor, 3M, Samsung, Walt Disney, Kimberly-Clark, Red Bull and Natura. Currently works as consultant in sports and entertainment branding for projects in South America and Europe and as designer at Octagon Sports, a global sports and entertainment content marketing arm of the Interpublic Group of Companies.
