an audio-visual piece created to explore the themes of the fragility of data and digital decay, using material from animations by David Montgomery.
The intention of the film is to highlight the fragility of digital data, by taking the original films and damaging them through interfering with the data of the film on a binary level.

This creates a dialogue between the viewer and the technology that questions the way we rely on data everyday and how easily it can be corrupted and destroyed, juxtaposed against the original images of flora being pulled apart.

The audio is an attempt to mimic the sound of data and to create a disorientating and very digital soundtrack to accompany the fast paced information over load of the video.

This piece was originally displayed at the Sidney Cooper Gallery, Canterbury (UK) between 26/4/2012 & 04/5/2012.
