Working with 3-dimensional letter forms
I was inspired by the sculptures of Spanish artist and sculptor, Jaume Plensa. I created a set of 3 dimensional sculptures, made up of unique letterforms and fonts out of perspex. I designed the structures and then cut them out on a laser-cutter. The sculpture made from orange perspex took a lot longer to create but it ended up being my favourite. The transparency of the perspex meant that I could play around with different light sources that really helped to change the mood of the photographs I took.
