With its roots in 1870, Scala is one of the oldest traditional stores for knives in Graz, Austria. Scala sets a high value on quality products and personal service for each individual client. It is a family-operated firm driven by passion for their products and well known for their quality knives from companies like Victoryinox, Solingen and many more.
I redesign the Sorger brand, developing a modern approach without losing the roots. Scala has an old lettering sign above their shop entrance, which I rethought and refined to get an outstanding sign. Taking reference to their old colourway, a deep dark green and traditional Layouts from the past I created a branding concept which shows the traditional mood of the company.
I regret that my concept unfortunately was not used, but I would like to present my work nonetheless.
