Brief
Un proyecto de comunicación visual fue solicitado por la clínica #17 del IMSS (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social) para representar al nuevo programa de residencia de Geriatría.
/ As part of the opening of Geriatric Residency Program at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) clinic # 17, located in Monterrey, N.L., a visual communication project was requested to represent the residency program, as well as the Geriatrics Specialty area of this clinic.
La prueba del reloj es una de los métodos más importantes en Geriatría porque permite evaluar en el paciente diferentes funciones cerebrales y así conocer si existe un deterioro cognitivo. El acomodo y funcionamiento de un reloj son de los primeros conocimientos que se adquieren a corta edad y que se pierden cuando existe un avanzado deterioro cognitivo.
/ The clock-drawing test is commonly used in Geriatrics since it allows to evaluate different functions on the patient's brain to detect the existence of cognitive impairment. The setting and operation of a clock are the first knowledge acquired at a young age and are lost when there is an advanced cognitive impairment.
El proceso de ideación se llevó a cabo en 3 secciones. La primera parte se realizó una investigación de primera mano con un Médico Geriatra de esta clínica para conocer más sobre elementos claves de esta especialidad. Posterior a eso, se realizó sketching rápido sobre formas, elementos y conexiones. Una vez definida un poco más la idea, se realizó sketching digital para definir las líneas de construcción, la proporción, entre otros elementos. Aquí, presento todo el proceso de manera visual
/ The ideation process was carried out in 3 sections. The first part was a first-hand research with a geriatrician at this clinic to learn more about key elements of this specialty. After that, I made rapid sketching to obtained multiple forms, elements and the connections between them. Once a draft idea was conceived, a digital sketching was made to define construction lines, proportion, among other elements. Here, I present the whole process visual way.
