Good design is Intuitive

~

Good design should come naturally; Good design
should be easy to understand.

The genesis of this idea surged trying to combat product pollution by taking two essential components of the issue: The massive amount of plywood wasted in construction & prototyping and how to transform it in useful objects.

Aside from helping to reduce waste the project is also focused in the study of form and shape and its aesthetic properties. The project tries to explore and comprehend how is design imprinted in our brain; if tools started to develop 14 thousand years ago when did we stop making tools to fulfill our needs and started to design this objects to be more appealing in shape and details? When did functionality ended and fashionable started?

The material helps to show and enhance the subtle changes in form, size and direction. It reflects with honesty the appealing factors of form to the user, while at the same time its innocuous and simple enough to disappear in the background. It also pretends to show the beauty of reclaimed, abandoned wood to create awareness.

The creation of the project started in March 2016 with the sole and frantic idea of trying to develop a way to stop product pollution and try to fight wood waste. The project continues its natural evolution on an intuitive relation between shape, functionality and aesthetics.
