Airbus A320 : The Many Faces of MSN0001

The Airbus A320 MSN0001 (Manufacturer Serial Number 1) was the first ever built and the one which performed the first flight on February 22th, 1987. At that time it was the first fly-by-wire airliner in the world.
After nearly 30 years of service as a flying testbed for Airbus developments, the MSN0001 was retired on July 29th, 2016.

To celebrate this long career, I created profiles featuring the main liveries and configurations the aircraft had, and put them together in a single, exclusive poster.
From the first flight in 1987 to the last one in july 2016, the face of MSN0001 changed at the rythm of the development campaigns. Its engines were changed many times, from CFM56-5A to IAE V2500 then back again to CFM56-5B, etc...
The livery followed also the changes of Airbus colors, with a radical variation with the A380 revealing in 2005 and the new "all-blue" livery.

The profiles are accurate both in colors and configuration, for each period of MSN0001 career. It is the result of a long research based on photos sometimes 30 years old.

This poster is now available to order as Limited Edition Art Print, with size ranging from 40x20cm to 100x50cm or even more. Please contact me at www.stephanebeilliard.com
