»Make a Space for My Body« is the bachelor thesis of fashion designer Elisa Kley. Inspired by her own feeling of travelling she created a collection of outfits that do both protect and comfort the person inside. Strong and shape-giving materials on the outside clash with soft and cosy fabrics on the inside. Contrasts between vicinity and distance as well as graphic and organic forms.
The book is divided into three parts: theory, process and result. Whereas the first two parts cover the inspiration and production of the collection, the third is meant to be a look book presenting the outfits in an rather arty kind of way.
Throughout all the work I tried to project the simplicity of the fashion design onto a clean layout. Using graphic outlines of the clothes the editorial design plays with the contrast between inside and outside.
