I got structural inspiration from a twist shape, and collected relevant images before detailed design and then sketched an idea. I thought about how to connect the both edges of circular and square shapes most naturally and sleekly. But, the most important thing is convenient chopsticks. Considering this, I modified a twist-like curved structure to get out of the hand grip part. Lastly, I finished the work giving sophisticated feelings that can’t be felt in conventional chopsticks.
TWISTICKS have both sides usable; one side is blunt circular shape, whereas the other side is wide square shape. I got an structural idea from a twist shape and designed to naturally connect circular and square shapes.
I want to give the chopsticks as a gift to Chinese friends who had a difficulty here in Korea.
I designed a chopsticks case to carry TWISTICKS. Like a twist structure of chopsticks, it is twist shape,
and I emphasized unity using the same material. It is very simple to use; when you hold a cap and pull it, it comes off and you can take chopsticks out. I used three kinds of materials such as silver, blue gold and wood for users to select what they like.
Made of various materials: Stainless steel / Italy olive wood / Plastic
