Suburbia, Forgotten Dreams, and Valley Girls (SFV) is a week long celebration of films centered around the San Fernando Valley, held in North Hollywood on April 16th through the 25th. The first annual film festival showcases films either filmed in the San Fernando Valley or celebrate Valley culture. But this is much more than just a nostalgia trip. One of the goals of the festival is to educate and excite audiences about this humble town and reawaken the joy of being from the Valley.

Films will be hosted drive-in style, in homage to the historic and long gone yet not forgotten drive-in theaters that reigned in the Valley. The venue is the once bustling shopping hub of the Valley, Valley Plaza.

The festival uses imagery of the valley, from it's suburban majority, to its vacant storefronts that bring up memories of its past glory. SFV festival honestly represents the Valley, this humble and a bit run down sprawling suburbia.

More coming soon!
