I broke down the components of the old logo and put together a contemporary, cohesive logo. Although it is more contemporary now, I still wanted to keep some of the vintage feel to the logo so I added a textured background and added floral elements to the crown piece.

And this is my interpretation and re-brand of Imperial Roller Rink in Portland, OR.
When looking at a re-brand, its important to understand and look at the key elements that make a logo so recognizable to the audience it was important to. I wanted the audience to see the old aspects of the logo, but also see a fresh perspective on what was once the logo of the only downtown roller rink in Portland.
