The Formula Student UK is one of the world's most prestigious academic motorsport competitions. From early 2013 a team of dedicated engineering students from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology took on the challenge of designing and manufacturing a vehicle for this event. As a research assistant at the university and the only industrial designer on the team, I oversaw the various aesthetic and human factors aspects which went into the development of the vehicle. I also had the responsibility of managing all data pertaining to the main assembly of the vehicle in CATIA V6.

The team competed succesfully in the 2014 competition, finishing in the top half and improving substantially on the teams maiden attempt in 2012.
