Inspired is a biennial Romanian competition that gets together entries from all over the country to compete in different departments ranging from Architecture and Design to Dramaturgy, every category having its own professional panel.
This project is my entry in the Illustration category of Inspired 2014 and it has earned 2nd place in the competition.
This year’s competition had a central theme that takes us back to the fall of the Iron Curtain and to the emergence of a new aesthetic, left entirely under our direction. The brief was to illustrate the first four verses of George Cosbuc’s poem, Nunta Zamfirei that would fit in postcards and school textbooks. Every picture is hand drawn with pen and ink.
