The summer I moved to the Upper West Side I discovered Central Park. I discovered the park not so much through walking in it but through getting a glimpse at its history in a book I read. One of the best ways I find to connect to place is through its history. I feel that Central Park throughout its changes from its birth and decline and ups and downs has a rich history and interesting story that is in a way a miniature New York. 

When you walk through the park today and want to learn about its history you have to work hard; there are tours, and books but nothing that it really present in the park I feel that that is a missed opportunity to connect more people to the park. My goal is to share Central Park's rich history in an easy and engaging way through path signage and an accompanying website.
