Gaze is a light weight chair, made out of teak wood. It is a simple chair made by taking the inspiration from the old days when life was slow paced and people had the time to relax and be with their families.

The Chair has a tilted and curved back rest, so as to accommodate maximum comfort by keeping the look and feel of the chair raw and classic. The rush weave on the seat adds to the beauty of the chair. The seat has been woven out of thick cotton thread and the texture of the seat makes it more appealing.

The assignment was to design a light weight chair, while keeping the ergonomics in mind, and then to make a 1:5 scale model of the same. Several forms were considered and a deep form study and ergonomic study was done before finalizing this form.
