The New York Times Analysis

"Website analysis"
The task was to do two posters with the information I got out of the investigation of the website.
- First I had to do a screenshot of the analysis and put image holders to see how much objects and what kind of objects there are in the website.
- Second I had to filter the information and investigate about the website (different redesigns, u.s.p., history of the company, etc.), so that I can develop a concept to create the poster.
After building different concepts I decided first to take a concept of going "Back to the roots".
Since New York Times was first an analog newspaper, I decided to make the first poster with an  effect of paper.
For the second poster I took the same principle of the first poster and applied it in a 3 dimensional way mixed with photography.

First I covered the objects in the screenshot to see the proportions of every object and also see the average amount of objects of every kind in the picture.
- In the first poster I took the most used text formats (since the website is 85 - 90% of text objects) and rotate them 90 degrees to build a skyline.
- I did put the Empire State Building in the middle to make a relation to the New York skyline.
- In the third step I added some texture and shadow effects to give it a more real look of two sheets of paper.
