Pandemic was a response to the Undiscovered brief set by ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers.)
Throughout history, disease has affected millions of people in many parts of the world causing much pain and suffering in the form of illness, disability, and death. Some of the most extreme examples of this are pandemics. By analysing past pandemics such as the Black Death and Spanish Flu, this publication will take a comparative look at this generation’s pandemic: Ebola.
The final outcome balances informative body copy, infographics and hard-hitting photography. Photography plays a major part of the publication because as a society that is emotionally unattached to death, people tend to shy away from powerful photographs. The publication aims to provoke emotion and display the overwhelming effects these pandemics caused.
