With India as the target market, an enhanced eating experience is achieved through an origami-esque divider system which allows wet and dry dishes to be separated and kept fresh during transportation. The tastefulness of eating with one’s hand truly peaks as the carrier seamlessly unfolds to offer the boundary-free mingling of curries and rice. An origami-inspired divider system leverages the flexibility of co-injected silicone and the structural integrity of polypropylene.
Models were built to study a variation of collapsible features that allowed for wet-dry separation, and ease of folding-unfolding to achieve the optimal surface area for eating and hand maneuvering.
