This German classic written by Günther Grass revolves around the life of Oskar Matzerath, as narrated by himself when confined in a mental hospital during the years 1952–1954.

 

Avoiding to show the tin drum on the cover (which he received as a present on his third birthday) like many other publishers do, I decided to show one of the other key scenes of the book, namely the one where Oskar falls down the stairs and decides to never grow up.
