Electricity is produced from sources like coal, oil, natural gas, etc. They produce greenhouse gases and other pollutants
that affect the environment resulting into ' Global warming'. By saving electricity and using more renewable resources like
the sun, water and wind, we can reduce the carbon dioxide emissions from the power stations, reducing pollution and thus
helping nature. We humans are very selfish when it comes to our comfort.
As the message is very simple, the text is direct too- 'Batti Bujhao' (switch of the light) with a visual which goes
along with it. The inspiration for the poster is a pen drive. We studied the pen drive in detail and eventually went inside it. We
found that a pen drive has a 'pcb' (printed circuit board) there. The PCB consists of conductive tracks going around carrying the current and small holes to connect conductors on different levels. We found the pattern of separate lines and circles very interesting and used them as the principles to create our type.

We don't even realize how much electricity we have consumed and wasted until the electricity bill arrives. The rising prices have resulted into some awareness about saving electricity. So through this poster we have tried to express a simple message - 'Save electricity'. We have tried expressing that at a very personal level the least you can do is switch off the electricity when you are done using it. We have done so by showing the pcb of a 1bhk house to personalise the message.
This poster was designed as a part of a college project. But you can grab your print here
