‘Editing Humanity’ is a critical project which delves into the dangerous realms of beauty standards and the strive to perfection in today’s society. My project questions the boundaries between beauty and modification. Just how far will we go to become the vision of perfection?
I designed and art directed a large A2 book as part of my final degree work at University which contains the thoughts of real people. The book takes the reader on a journey from insecurities and modifying ourselves to the dangerous trends that pressure us to the opinion of those who work in the beauty industry.
The book ends with one question. Where does modification end now that we have access to new technology within science...
