3Ds Max and Rhino

Digital Media

For my Digital Media class, we learned 3D programs such as 3ds Max and Rhino.

The first render was creating a 3D painting from a 2D painting using Rhino. In my case, I chose to use a Kandinsky painting and designed it to look as if music was radiating throughout the painting.. The circles would become a booming stereo, while lines seen straight from the front view would become wavy at the side view. The main purpose for the 3D painting was to show how the geometric shapes, colors and 'movement' of the two combined to present a dynamic piece of art that celebrated music.

The 2nd to last renders were to take apart an electronic object and recreate each of the components using 3ds Max. The work process was mainly tedious in capturing every little detail.
