I'm creating a card or I might leave it as a painting and frame it, for a friend who has been battling a very serious illness. I hope this will bring a smile to her heart during weak moments. I'm playing around with patterns using hearts and stars. I'm excited about sharing my very first work in progress and would love to hear any thoughts you may have. Please enjoy the process!

The original idea of creating faint fire-like swirls behind the cross was not satisfying, so I changed gears by adding simple bold shapes of color as the background.
