Wyler's Bouillon: Package analysis and redesign
Wyler's Bouillon: Package analysis and redesign
Considering the vast number of products on grocery store shelves combined with the fact that 70% of purchasing decisions are made at the shelf, it is easy to understand how much work a product’s package must do. Many elements of package design must work together in order to be successful in providing an experience and conveying the right things. Color, shape, feel, materials, and visibility are just a few of those elements.
In my thesis I chose to find a product that I felt is unsuccessful in these categories and systematically redesign it’s packaging. My goal was to develop a series of packages that highlight these elements of package design and how they effect consumer decisions while communicating effectively.
