Safe Sand Campaign

Safe Sand
The Clean Beach Campaign
Since 2002, the number of beach closings on the Great Lakes due to high e. coli levels has been steadily increasing. This is due in part to trash being left behind which attracts seagulls and other wildlife. Because a large majority of beach goers consist of parents who bring their children, they are the target of this campaign.
