Tanaka Ikko è stato uno tra i più conosciuti graphic designer giapponesi dei nostri tempi. In tutta la sua vita, non aderì a una corrente stilistica ma perseguì costantemente una propria linea di espressione autonoma e un proprio stile. Il lavoro di Ikko Tanaka comprende, tra gli altri, il design grafico dei simboli per l'Expo '85, l'Expo Tokyo '96.
Tanaka curò e progettò mostre per il Victoria e Albert Museum di Londra.

Tanaka Ikko was one of the most famous Japanese graphic designers of our times. Throughout his life, he did not adhere to a stylistic current but constantly pursued his own line of self-expression and his own style. Ikko Tanaka's work includes, among others, the graphic design of symbols for the Expo '85, and Tokyo Expo '96. Tanaka curated and designed exhibitions for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
