For my Final Major Project, I decided to create three pattern designs. My inspiration for this was my love of travelling. I took three different cities - London, Tokyo and New York - and explored what famous architecture, food and objects made the city recognisable.

 

I used this project as an opportunity to develop my pattern design skills. I enjoy the flexibility of pattern design, with one design being applicable to many different contexts. My work follows a consistent style so each design could be used independently or in conjunction with each other. I have presented my final designs as wallpaper and fabric samples to give a sense of what they could be used for.
