The system sought to fundamentally change the practice of pathology, bringing it into the digital age. This starts by re-imagining the case management workflow to accelerate processing time and optimize ease of use. Slide viewing and management are also improved to reduce non-value added work. This is accomplished by providing pathologists’ a viewing experience not possible with physical slides, while enhancing efficiency. The system also supports  web-enabled technology that enables pathologists to remotely collaborate in real time efficiently and securely.
