The assignment was to find one village anywhere in the world, find everything we could about it, and design some kind of a seat, stool or seating equipment in the end. I did my research about Wangdue Phodrang, which is a village in Bhutan. They have a festival, where they mainly dance in circles to celebrate the Black Necked Crane which lives in their valley for a couple of months every year. When the Cranes arrive they fly in circles around the valley and the inhabitants consider that a blessing. When families come to the city center to celebrate, they place colorful carpets on the ground to reserve a space for their family.
