PEEL'D is a collaboration alongside Christina Skaf. It's a project initiated by the sustainable design workshops Mena Research Center introduced in early Spring of 2016 - having sustainabilty be the theme of this year's Beirut Design Week. Christina and I paired up to save fruit and vegetable peels from being hopelessly trashed. We heat-pressed the organic scraps into different skins. The skins were transformed into notebook covers, jewelry, as well as money and coin pouches. Showcased at Beirut Design Week's Ked platform, these peel leathers made their work in progress debut.
