During my time within a voluntary position with Manchester based animal rights charity Captive Animals Protection Society (CAPS), I undertook the role of Social Media Assistant. I was tasked with daily social media engagement - promoting the charity's work, sharing relevant news articles, engaging with supporters, but also to promote their upcoming annual event - Zoo Awareness Weekend. This was a special year for the event as this was the first time the event also included coverage and exposure of Mobile Zoos - an increasingly popular business type, with worryingly little rights.
I was asked to create content in the build up to the event, as well as attention-grabbing visuals that could be shared to promote the cause as well as associated events taking place around the UK.
Alongside the Zoo Awareness Weekend promotion, I was also asked to update the charity's Facebook aesthetic - including a new cover photo which I designed to promote CAPS' coverage of circuses.
During my time at CAPS, I created various graphics to promote events and campaigns, as well as infographic images used to visually communicate key facts and findings of investigations.
