desperoflora

desperoflora is a composite organism moving sunwards looking for warmth and nourishment.
It thrives on the micro-narratives that bloom across it, their voices sounding human, fragile, mortal, poetic, unreal, immortal, real, true, simple, relational.

This site-specific (The Inquisitor's Palace in Vittoriosa, Malta) installation is the product of a collaborative effort between Glen Calleja and Sarah Mamo and is based on Caldon Mercieca's text Desperoflora.
It was initially conceived as a two-room installation based on the original two-part structure of Mercieca's text.
