Scorpion Personal Helicopter
The Scorpion is made entirely of foam core, cardboard and tape and is a personal helicopter concept for the average commuter. The concept is strong enough to hold a persons weight, the rotors spin and the rotor housing also spins to adjust the direction of thrust from the propellers. I was the designer and leader of the seven person group that created the Scorpion in two weeks. Our group ultimately won the competition between us and five other groups creating foam core models based on design execution, construction quality, and concept quality.
