Sleepwalking, a body of work reveals the true side of society nowadays. Sleepwalking is a behavior disorder that originates during deep sleep and results in walking or performing other complex behaviors while asleep. People with sleepwalking disorder range from simply getting out of the bed and walking around the room, to making a meal for themselves, to leaving the house and even driving long distances. People in society are no different from sleepwalkers. Being conscious isn’t about being physically awake – Many people around us are physically awake, yet living unconsciously. Thus, the photographs are taken during daytime instead of nighttime, as a record of how every day people are just running around doing various activities such as eating, driving, cleaning, activities that are regular daily basis. While they are not able to articulate what their life is about, they are not fully aware of who they are, and their real purposes in life. Models are doing daily activities to show a sign of physically awake, they are dressed in pajamas to indicate they are in a state of unconsciousness. The first photographs of each set are documented in urban landscapes. The second photographs of each set focus on different aspects in sleepwalking life away. The gesture of holding a pillow tightly symbolizes the moment within a space, the feet symbolize the physical body itself and the melting ice cream symbolizes the state of unawareness.
