Design and making of a typographic specimen for a randomly assigned font.
The font assigned was Futura.

Concept:
Movable types.
Why?
Initially, this typography was commissioned to Paul Renner by the German founder of movable types “Bauer Type Foundry”, in reaction to the seminal of Ludwig and Mayer of the typography Erbar in 1922.
The Bauer type smelter issued Futura at six different, licensed weights.
We focused on the idea of movable types and the way they look, but also in the organization and the way they are arranged when printing with them.

We focused on the idea of movable types and the way they look, but also in the organization and the way they are arranged when printing with them.
So we ended up with a clean, organized design, based in a rigid square grid, mainly arranging everything in the middle of the page, making relation to the way the page is organized when doing letterpress with movable types.
