Petra Zsófia PÁLHÁZI - Without power

 

In my working experience I've studied power and it's ettect on people. First I was questioning why people change when they detect ( even the smallest ) overgrow, furthermore why do they commit cruel actions to the others. For my series I've choosed five great dictators who represent power and the negative actions coming with it. My aim was to make these people "common" or hilarious based on my pictures. Although I couldn't deprive them of their power, in my demonstration I could give their personalities another meaning despite that we all know their real self. My choise wad based on the idea that the figures should be popular, know by a lot of people and were great rulers who were admired and achived the others devotion violence and lies. And because of this they wouldn't like to see themselfes as ordinary people. For the reshape of the individuals I've decided to show them in nine pictures where different pictures shower different bodyparts. In many cases I could achive a more grotesk effect by changing the propotions of different parts.
