Suspended Landscape

Suspended landscape isthe name of my project and it contain pieces of nature that my memory storedtrue the years. I chose the word suspended for his dual sense. Every paintingis made to be suspended on the wall sow this is the obvious sense, but mychoice was because it even means that the landscape are out of order. They aresuspended for the realism and just cited.
This is a moment when I stop usingmodels and I start creating a world from my head, influenced by my memories andmy emotions. In the main, I think I started painting pieces of nature becauselife in the big city doesn`t provide me the oasis that I love. So it becamenormal to search it on canvas. Even the colors on the paintings became dustyand gray like the city. Some of them are predominant black and that`s how Iwanted to suggest that the nature is placed in the late evening when the nightclaims his right. For me is that moment when all the struggles and dailyroutine are gone and even if the body is relax the brain take`s a fantasticjourney were the memories pops out combine themselves creating almostunrealistic pictures even if they are made from real moments.
All of them are made with acrylic colors oncanvas. I chose acrylic colors for the aqueous concentration that I needed tocreate transparent zone that I wanted to contrast with the thick paste. Icontinuously search different texture to create materiality areas and lateridentify them with elements from nature.
I don`t use a previous sketch. Atfirst I started with that but every time I had to reproduce a shape from thesketch to canvas my obsession for details made the paintings to organize andthe freshness that I love decrease. I like my work to feel like a Happening. Ijust let shapes slowly appear on the canvas or continuously search them truethe shadows till they identify with my memories.
