St. Helens Council: domestic violence campaign
Brief: Create a campaign to raise awareness of domestic violence in St. Helens, targeting 13-21 year olds. (Working in pairs) We went for a road signage campaign, the idea being the younger of the age range would be looking into learning to drive and the older of the age range would want to brush up on the meanings of road signs. The road sign meanings relate to domestic violence. Leaflets, poster and an identity were produced for this project.
The feeling was the logo for the project should also be a recognised road sign. After trying out a few different signs we went for this design as it went well with the tagline.
1 of 2. The idea being the map section is detachable from the leaflet. This would be credit card size to be able to put it in a wallet. We came up with the copy under the road signs
2 of 2. The idea being the licence section is detachable from the leaflet. This would again be credit card size to be able to put it in a wallet. The copy under the road signs is the same as the first leaflet
The models here were students in our class. With the question being if you knew the meaning of the road sign in domestic violence terms would you stay in the relationship?
This image shows how the poster would look in situ.
