Artist's Statement
For the B.F.A. Senior Thesis project I chose to do a video game company called Arrowhead. This is a company that creates graphically advanced games for the 17+ crowd. I wanted to design for something that was out of my comfort zone. I knew that by choosing this topic it would force me to better my Photoshop skills and I am happy to say that it worked. After a very long year I have developed the necessary skills to call myself a pro at Photoshop and Illustrator. I feel I executed this company successfully because I completely immersed myself in the video game culture. This has always been a topic that bored me however, with the help of some close friends and some employees at GameStop I feel as though I now know the industry in and out.
I have grown so much this past year as both a young adult and designer. I definitely could not have succeeded this past year without the amazing support of family and friends and the encouragement of all my fellow designers. It was the greatest learning experience of my life and I am ready to take the knowledge I have acquired and move on with my design talents.
Thank you,
