Working as the Architect for Ibex Interiors, we were responsible for the production of information for the refurbishment of an existing building to create a new head office for the TV production company Optomen TV. With the modest budget of £1.4m, the works comprised structural alterations, the replacement of a pitched roof with rooflight and an internal fit-out.
The fit-out included a ground floor office/reception area and two floors of office space over 1160 sq,m. The design combined galvanised flooring and exposed services to achieve an ‘industrial’ look, as requested by the client for the ground floor and carpeted and partitioned areas for the upper two levels. Externally, new windows were fitted throughout and a Sto render system was applied to the front elevation giving the building a fresh new look.
