The Mind
The project was to re-design an original 1960's Time Life Book. The re-design included updating the over all style of the book, developing a better visual typography system, presenting a new image style, and creating an enjoyable readers experience.
With many designers using digital tools, illustrating the book with paint and a brush was something I wanted to try as a way to challenge myself and to make the re-design look completely fresh. I wanted to up-date and re-design the information it delivered, combining all handmade imagery and illustrations with clean typography to create a modern organic / abstract style to the book. The book reflects my individual style and how I would want to learn about The Elusive Mind.
