The Smithsonian magazine puts the special and always relevant Smithsonian lens on the world -- looking at the topics and subject matters researched, studied and exhibited by the Smithsonian Institution. From science, history, art, popular culture and innovation, the publication combines unique stories with intriguing design elements. In an effort to explore publication design, I utilized a Smithsonian article regarding blood doping at the olympics, and reformatted it -- from cover to spread.
