STATEMENT
Rococo pantomime is an overelaborated aesthetics that revisits elements from the Rococo period, and manages to hide and disguise, behind its intricate shapes, an object, person or a place with a background or content completely opposite or extremely different to the resulting appearance.
WHAT WAS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
I developed this project during my fifth college semester.
After a long process of recognition of signs or concepts that arise and, at the same time, influence current society and its context, we proceeded with the creation of a new evolved sign that can be part of a not so distant future. After this projection, we told a short story to place ourselves into this new futuristic context. And, taking such story as the starting point, we created a collection that personifies all the values and parameters of this new imagined world.
After finding this new concept and its definition, we did a particular language that helped us through the designing process, We analysed forms, colors, silhouettes, materials, etc.
We also chose a real magazine where our new concept or trend could be exposed. The objectif was to devolped images, text and a layout that imitated the style of the magazine. We also featur an article we made that explained our concept and the imaginary world aorund it.
After creating the garments, we did a photoshoot that represented the spirit of the collection and this imaginary world
