Conceptual bridge design created to express the idea of peace as a process. An individual's experience with peace is relative to their experience with the absence of peace. This process, as well as transformation, strongly mimics a cocoon. Small on each end to protect the butterfly as it grows, to then break free from. It is in this push for peace we find our strength, our empathy, and our hope.  Positioned near the great falls on the Potomac to encourage reflection, transformation, and connection.
