A&W: Re-packaging

A&W RE-PACKAGING 
 
This re-packaging of A&W design is aimed to raise awareness of the quick service restaurant. The proposed tagline is “It’s Burping Fun at A&W” to make the brand and packaging to appear to be more fun along with cute characters included to emphasize the fun elements and overall exude a happier and friendlier feel to the customers. 
 
NEW PACKAGING SET 
 
Elements of both vector illustration and typography were used in the packaging design. Cute illustrations were used to better relate to the brand itself and also the attract more young target audience aside from the general public. 
 
CONVENIENCE PACKAGING
 
The convenience packaging are aimed to reduce the usage and wastage of plastic bags and minimize the wastage on papers used in paper bags. 
 
 
The convenience packaging made and designed in a way whereby just one piece of cardboard is needed with as little die cut as possible to further support the go green effort yet putting convenience and aesthetics into thought. 
 
BEARY MEAL PACKAGING
 
Maintaining the icon of A&W, Rooty Bear, the elements from the main packaging are added into the design for the children’s meal packaging, the Beary Meal. 
 
 
The box structure and design are made to be similar to lunch boxes whereby there are spaces intended for name and class are added along with simple games at the sides of the box. It is to encourage children to not throw away the box but instead keep and have more interaction with it, encouraging fun and creativity. 
 
COLLATERALS
 
More collaterals are added not only aimed for children and adults but also for the staffs to give an overall of a more casual feeling to the establishment. 
The t-shirt designs are to be worn by the staffs to give a more complete look and friendlier feel to the customers. 
The totebag is a part of the effort to go green, to help reduce the usage of plastic bags and promote the reduce, reuse and recycle habit. 
The caps can be used as a part of the uniform for the staff or serve to be as collateral items children.
