Creative Challenge: The first grouping of posters are results from Nigel French's Lynda.com video, Designing a Poster. Through a series of tutorials, Nigel teaches how to generate multiple unique and relevant solutions for the same design issue as well as technical concepts.
Another video series from this creative challenge, Layout and Composition by Sean Adams was explored. This tutorial communicated the building blocks of a composition and how to make a layout successful through contrast, scale, grids, etc. The proect focused on how to utilize layout elements to communicate and guide the viewer.
Incorporating further evaluation, these are products of my own vision for the Romeo and Juliet stage production posters. Study on how a strong composition will engage the viewer by attracting attention and communicating information.
Followed by a peer critique, a final poster design was produced.
