As technology evolves, social media has grown to become the main outlet for communication & entertainment in every sort of aspect, whether it is for personal or business usage. Although this works in many ways and is an asset to our everyday lives, some feel inclined to depend on it for the wrong reasons - one of which is their self-confidence. This is causing adolescent females around the world nowadays to depend on social media in order to express themselves. Since the popularization of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter in Saudi Arabia, adolescent females seem to be developing psychological effects such as depression and anxiety to the extent that it tarnishes their own self-confidence. The Ana campaign aspired to encourage female teenagers in KSA to build confidence and express themselves without depending on social media. This is done by creating a social media campaign that voices the effects of dependency on social media and encourages the female teens to build confidence. A mobile application was created to create personal platform just for the teens to upload images and diary posts for themselves to keep and see. Moreover, it also includes a feature where they are able to lock different social media apps thus decreasing the need to depend on social media for self-confidence.
